The Prince of Bummers: Cohen and the Art of Anguish
Nice title, huh?
I'm finally starting to calm down about this paper, and I'm even starting to like it, which is one step closer to being proud of it, and this is my aim. I sat down today and doubled what I had when I sat down in five very long and frustrating hours, punctuated with a walk, a game of scrabble, and food at some point. I would post it, but I doubt [m]any of you care, and besides: it's too long! mouahahahahaha.
Not a bad way to spend Good Friday, huh? It could have been worse, I could have been in the Philippines being nailed to a cross. *shudder* I learned that some people actually DO that on Good Friday, to show their devotion or something. It's beyond gross, and highly unnecessary, in my opinion. (Apparently the Catholic church does not condone this, which I was pleasantly surprised to discover, they're usually into martyrdom.) I don't even understand how one would survive that... Isn't there a highly important vein in the wrist?
Last grocery shopping of term tomorrow, woot! After that I will force myself to eat every single can of soup that I have in my cupboards, so that they don't get wasted. Although I suppose I could give them to the food bank, I'm sure they could use some Campbells chicken noodle.
Tomorrow is also the day the rest of the family (the priviledged ones, as I am stuck here at home,) get to meet my long-lost uncle, who appeared in our lives about two weeks ago. Ah, the drama. I found out that Elise (my sister, for those of you who don't know) opted to go to Plantagenet with Marc and visit grandmamman and grandpapa. I thought that was a nice rebel thing to do, and I'm sure it succeeded in pissing off my mother, as it was meant. Elise is a strange one, thats for sure. Way to slight a family member you've never even met yet: whoo! Its great that she feels she can alienate him right away, I mean she's already alienated the rest of the family, why not him?! haha. It isn't as is he lives close-by either, and that she expects to see him another weekend, because he definately flew (is flying?) out from Calgary.
*yawn* I think thats it for tonight folks, I'm going to shove the papers strewn about into a pile and crawl into bed.

Now Mireille....
Be NICE to your sister.
[Yes, folks, this is her MOTHER again...]
It couldn't work for Elise to go... I wasn't leaving till Sunday afternoon, wasn't planning on coming home till Tuesday night, and she'd have had to miss school (which she didn't want to do), AND take a long, long bus ride back to her domicile that is not with me (and that, folks, is the truth).
