Warped Isolation

This is me, blathering on about my life in general. Sometimes I wax poetic, sometimes I wax wacky and sometimes I wax thought-provoking. Whatever it is you hope to find here, I hope you find it. I welcome any and all comments, so feel free.

PEEPS!!!

One horrible day, I felt so blue:
All I had was work and chores to do
When all of the sudden my dreams came true
In the form of little yellow chicks, and a red monkey too!
I could never repay my debt to you
so Moo:
THANK YOU!

[What can I say, I've always been a horrible rhymer: it's the thought that counts.]

These peeps are so cute, I almost want to keep them, because I think they'd be good company. But they're good! ( In a way that makes me almost want to throw up once it gets past the taste buds into my stomach.)

ANYHOW I had an absolutely fantastically awesome discovery when I ate my first one!
Back in the day, my mother would take me to a little store in downtown Guelph called the Flour Barrel. Basically, it' s one of those stores where you can buy organic peanut butter, honey, weird types of flour, baking supplies, that kind of thing. (Guelph is a town full of hippies, what can I say?)

Now for some reason unknown to me, they also have a very small section with barrells of candy (organic candy, maybe? Somehow I doubt it.) And when my mother used to take us shopping there, we could always grab one thing from the candy barrells. One of my favorite things to choose were these little miniature Ice-cream cones. They weren't real ice cream, but they had a blob of coloured marshmallow as a stand in for the ice cream. Turns out, its the same kind of marshmallow that peeps are made of! So I get a fantastic childhood memory as well as my own peep farm. Sadly, they don't make those little ice cream thingie things anymore, which is tragic, but the peeps will see me through. ^_^
